{name:Sophie Flume#|#picture:2} The Whomping Willow swayed in an almost serene fashion as Sophie's unfocused eyes drifted from it to the book lying in her lap. She was seated beneath her favorite tree with books littering the ground around her. Madam Pince would have had a heart attack if she'd seen this treatment of her precious library books. And from the looks of it, Sophie had checked out nearly the entire library.
She sighed, her lips parting slightly around the quill she'd been chewing on while she was lost in thought. Suddenly, she sat a little straighter, dipped her quill in ink and scribbled something on the parchment in front of her. Only a second later, she marked it out vigorously. She groaned in exasperation and hit her head against the tree to take out some of her frustration. This did little other than to give her a headache and cause little bits of bark to become embedded in her blue-streaked hair.
She crumpled up the piece of parchment and threw it in her overflowing bag. She took out another, smoothed it over a nearby book and began a new list: 'Potions, Ancient Runes, History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Transfiguration'. This didn't seem to help her mood because she let out a rather odd noise like a strangled grunt and threw the quill in the grass. It was then that she seemed to realize someone was nearby and immediately looked embarrassed.

{name:Reese Miller#|#picture:0}Please Sophie I don't think that poor tree can take any more of your frustrations. Reese said his eyes laughing. He had the afternoon off and he was going to use it to its full extent, and that meant doing what ever Sophie wanted. It had taken him all of fifteen minutes to figure out where she was. He hadn't even bothered to check the Library it was to nice a day out, and there wouldn't be many more. Even though it was only the start of September it would soon be to cold to realistically study outside.
Reese smiled the scars on his right cheek pulling just a little bit, and picked up a few books off the ground to make a space for him to sit next to his girlfriend. At age twenty he had already graduate from school, and was the assistant healer at Hogwarts. Reese Sat down nimbly one leg bent and the other in front of him. He put the books on his lap and leaned back on his hands making himself comfortable, and not caring that his gray sweater was attracting bits of dirt and grass. No chance I will be able to convince you to stop studying for a bit? He glanced sideways at her and said You know You will be brilliant at your exams. You have Always been the smarter of the two of us, and I have to say that I am quite brilliant. So that says something about you. He smirked and tossed a bit of grass at Sophie.

{name:Sophie Flume#|#picture:2}A smile toyed with the sides of Sophie's lips as he complimented her. She tugged the hair ties from her pigtails and ran a hand through her tangled hair before quickly tying it up again. She closed a few books and piled them up next to her bag before scooting a bit closer to him.
"I'm not studying," she admitted, a strained look still present in her usually bright eyes. "I checked out all these career books from the library, and they're not helping at all. It's just that I'm in my seventh year. After this, I'll be tossed out into the world without a clue of what I want to do with my life. I've looked at just about everything, and I can't find anything that clicks. Everyone seems to know what they want; even you knew...forever what you wanted to do. I just...wish I had some clue."
It had been bothering her all summer. At night, she'd had dreams of what would happen after graduation that almost all involved living in some hole with no money, no ambition, and nothing to show for her life. Others involved Reese leaving her because he wanted a girl that was "driven". It was enough to drive her insane. So, she'd done what any self-respecting Ravenclaw would do--run to the library.

{name:Reese Miller#|#picture:0} Reese rose one eye brow in imitation of her look that she often gave others. He pushed the books off of his lap and sat forward looking at Sophie. It surprise him that she didn't know what she wanted to do after she graduated, but he would have gone along with what ever it was she said she wanted. If she said she wanted to be a Hippogriff trainer in the circus Reese would have looked at fer a bit funny but he would have gone along with it, if she said she wanted to be a home maker and just stay at home all day and do nothing but listen to the wireless he would have gone along with that as well. What ever she wanted Reese would have agreed to.
He leaned back again this time putting all of his weight on one arm and using his other to play with a single lock of her blue streaked hair a smile playing on his lips. You know Sophie, You can do anything you want to. He wound the blue hair around his finger and then let it go and it fell out of his hand. He glanced at her feet and smiled at her shoes. I thought at one point you were going to go into fashion. He looked back at his girlfriend's face and grinned I think you would do a really fantastic job, and would probably shock the world. Reese rolled over so he was on his side and touched the tips of her fingers with his It was hard for him not to just kiss her, but as he was somewhat a teacher it would be inappropriate for him to kiss her at school, though if no one was looking he wouldn't hesitate to snag at least one.

{name:Sophie Flume#|#picture:2}"No kidding," Sophie replied smiling genuinely up at Reese. He had a knack for being able to cheer her up, even when she resisted with all her might. She'd been moody and sullen for days, since she'd heard that all seventh years were to meet with their head of house in the first few weeks of school to discuss how far along they were coming on their paths toward future employment.
She remembered her fifth year appointment with Professor Flitwick. That had gone well. She'd rambled off a list of things she knew he'd like to hear-Healer, Ministry official, etc. He'd granted her permission to take extra classes because of her "bright future". It wasn't looking so bright anymore.
All her friends who'd been just as confused about things like this seemed to have something in mind to do after graduation. She seemed to be the only slacker in Ravenclaw.
"Anyway, it's not like I'm going to figure this out in the next five minutes since it's taken me this long already. So, what's up?" she asked.
