Two years after the fall of Voldemort (in the year 2000), the wizarding world should be reveling in the tranquility that should follow the defeat of a major evil, shouldn't it?
Wrong.
The defeat of Voldemort, while a monumentous occasion, did not bring the peace that they'd hungered for all those long years of fear, doubt, mistrust, bloodshed, and general mayhem. It seemed that a large number of witches and wizards could not overcome the devastating loss of their loved ones. Though the Ministry did all it could to round up the Death Eaters and anyone else involved (human or not), many walked free because of the widespread confusion that overtook the country. The mourning parties couldn't handle the thought of murderers walking free and vowed to put a stop to it. The vigilante movement has been gaining support over the past two years, and, despite it, there are several Death Eaters and prominent purists that are still at large in Britain and elsewhere.
Hogwarts was repaired and reopened over the course of a summer, and all students were welcomed back by their excited Headmistress, Minerva McGonagall. The staff, or what remained of them from the previous year, was only too eager to put all the memories of the nightmarish evenning of the year previous behind them. However, it seemed that the school was cursed. Though the staff was replenished after all the deaths, retirements, and other events of those two years, the castle never remained fully-staffed long, leaving many openings now.
As it stands, the Ministry is searching for its new place in a paranoid and crazy world. People are terrified of the vigilantes that roam the streets trying to take their revenge on those that caused such suffering, those the Ministry missed. The Ministry is attempting to distance themselves from these rouge witches and wizards who use any means necessary to capture those that served or even sympathized with Lord Voldemort. Can order be restored after so much chaos?
We are a new site, just starting out with 18 members.
We welcome all levels of RP, but our post minimum is 10 lines; most posts exceed that limit, though.
We have openings for teachers, Ministry officials, students in all houses, those with special abilities (animagi, Seers, metmorphmagi, half-breeds, etc.).
We offer several RP resources such as maps, wand lore, and an extensive encyclopedia.
