Pureblood Club/Hydra Lair

So, those of us who are faithful RPers here have at least seen the PC and Hydra threads. Now we have two groups going on, a student group within Hogwarts and an adult group out in the big bad world, and those of us with a darker side love it so!

You might be asking yourself why we need a thread here, right? Why else? To show support for the PC and plan out fun stuff to do. I can't come up with all the ideas and I can tell some members are getting bored with the old ones, so we can put our heads together, bond outside the RPs, and generally hang out. People who aren't RP members of that club can also join in here to offer to battle with us, trick Tavis, annoy our members, come up with ideas, etc.

This will also be where all PC/Hydra-related updates will be so keep checking back regularly. I'll post when sub-plots are going on (as well as a synopsis of them for those that didn't wish to/couldn't join in), when I've posted a new PC meeting thread, etc.

Rules:
1. You do not have to disclose your RP character's name.
2. You do not have to support PC/Hydra to post here, but DO NOT flame us for our RP preferences.
3. You are not allowed to make fun of my GSA-like rules
4. You can discuss PC sub-plots (the whole Tavis/Vada/Leanne/Cygnus and Mehren/Tom/Tom situations as well as others that arise and character background) here, but please be respectful if people don't choose to discolse their character's deepest secrets simply because you ask. They might want some surprises in the future.
5. Do not put down people for their RPing abilities or choices.
6. Follow all OotARP rules. Duh!
7. Stay on topic, please. We'll get in trouble if you don't!
8. You are required, by accepting membership into either group, to post AT LEAST once every two weeks. If you fail to do this, and provide no notice of taking a break, you will be removed from the membership list.
9. If you have a plot point you'd like to introduce to the club that will affect numerous characters/RPers, please PM me first and let me know in addition to PMing the other RPers (if you know who they are) BEFORE starting said plot idea. It's just common RP courtesy to keep us updated on what might affect our characters, the club, and/or plots we already have going on. If you are unsure about whether or not your idea will affect others, please PM me first and ask.
Please note: I would appreciate it if no one posted in lime green here. We'll be posting updates for Pureblood Club in that color and it will make it easier to notice on a page if no one else posts in that color. Thanks!
I'd also appreciate you not posting in maroon as well as we'll be using that color to indicate Hydra announcements/updates.

If you'd like to join the RP clubs (when applications are open), you should either PM me, post in an OOC in the thread, or post here with the words "PUREBLOOD CLUB APPLICATION" if you are applying for the Hogwarts division or "HYDRA APPLICATION" if you are applying for the adult division.

OOC Questions:

-character's age/year (this will distinguish for now between the student and adult divisions)
-character's REAL blood status
-anything else that's pertinent
-a sample of your character from at least one RP you've done here. Just link it for us.
-a link to your character's bio page.

Then, wait for a response before posting in the current RP thread. You can post here all you want in the mean time. If your charrie is not a pureblood, more questions will follow (just heads up).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FO ANY PC SEEKER

Seekers are informed of their acceptance as a seeker to PC in one way and one way only (it has not been so in the past). A note is slipped into your personal belongings or otherwise left for you to find that reads:

Dear *insert name here*,

There is a group working within Hogwarts to battle the forces that wish to destroy all that we purebloods have fought for. Filth is being brought in, devestating our magical education system, providing opportunity for pure blood to be dilluted, and otherwise providing opportunity to the scum that has stolen our magical abilities. It must be stopped.

You are now receiving a one-time opportunity to visit this organization and undergo an initiation to join them. Should you miss this opportunity, it will not come again. They meet in the dungeons of Hogwarts, but their room entrance will only be accesible via *insert room and time here--check the thread that day*. To enter, you must raise your left forearm for a blood purity test. If you pass, and you will, you will be admitted into their lair. One more test is all that stands between you and this organization--a loyalty test. Should you pass, you will be rewarded with their initiation. Fail, and you will face dire consequences.

After you fill out an application and it is approved, you can post here and in the current RP thread. However, it is important to note that your status will remain "Seeker". During the time you are termed a "seeker", you have to prove that you'll post semi-regularly (obeying the rule about posting every week or two unless giving previous notice), have decent, lit posts, obey the rule, etc. If you can do all that for a few weeks, we will hold a vote (by poll, I would guess) here, in the Lair, so that everyone can vote IC to let your character in. Tavis, Mehren, Katarina, or another leader can always override that vote, though. If your character passes the IC vote, they will be considered a full member.

Whenever a meeting is called, those members that have gold coins (anyone who has already been initiated and isn't a leader or suspected of treachery) will feel their coin burn (the coins bear the emblem of PC - the ouroborus encircling the rune Perthro; pictures coming soon).

Meetings take place in the room of requirement on the MNI-Wide Hogwarts board. Note that the blood purity enchantment is still on the meeting room, but you don't need to do anything for it to test your charrie.

Once inside, you'll see the meeting room in all its splendor. It is a long, rectangular room lit by a large fireplace set in the back wall, across from where you entered. Of course lamps and candles add to the lighting. The eyes of the snakes in the mantle glint like large pieces of onyx as they glare out at the members.

In front of the fireplace is a gleaming wooden table with the crest of Slytherin upon it. Not all members are in Slytherin, but as the hero of their cause, all agreed upon the decor. Around this table, the meetings are usually gathered. There is a dragon-hide chair for each member around this table. Almost all the furniture incorporates dragon-hide, in fact to go with the green decor.

There is an armchair by the table with its back to the fire, previously occupied by Tavis at every meeting. Mehren used to prefer to curl up on the dragonhide loveseat that is angled in the furthest corner.

The couch is across the room from a small storage closet the leaders use to house all of PC's valualble (and not) possessions. It's typically quite cluttered with only a foot of walking space. However, it allows prviate conversations away from members. A tapestry seperates it from the main meeting room. This tapestry appears to be solid wall so one must know it is there before entering as well.

Next to this storage room entrance is a small potions cabinet that houses the stores of the PC. Our potions experts typically stock it, though, with all manner of useful things. You never know what you'll find in there.

The walls surrounding the entrance from the hall are fully shelved, stocked with a variety of books on any Dark subject one could desire as well as some Dark artifacts on display.

*It is also important to note that our RPs have gone on the MNI wide timeline. They take place 2 years after the battle.

PC Vow:
Raise your wand hand and repeat after me:
I solemnly swear that I will not powerplay or godmode in any duel or torture. I will not kill anyone's character unless it has been previously agreed upon. I will not even attempt to kill anyone's character unless I have prior permission. I will not make up spells unless I have had them OK'ed by Kat and/or Hugh and/or the person's character I am using them on. I will not make my torture any greater than that of Asch (meaning no serious injuries like excessive bleeding, compound fractures, brink of death-y-ness, etc.). I swear that my character is not a god, and they will not be able to dodge every spell that comes at them. My character will only know spells suiting their year in school and ability level. They cannot read minds and know every spell coming at them. I will be creative (but not unbelievable) in my dueling/torture. My literacy will not be diminished in this/these thread(s). If I have any problems, I will owl the other RPer first, then Kat and/or Hugh if it continues (or a prefect if it is that much of a problem). I will uphold the honor of PC or I will face the wrath of Tavis and/or Mehren and/or Kat (whoever scares you more).
