Biography: Roux Lightfoot is the oldest of two daughters born to Esther Payne an Irish woman and Jamison Lightfoot. She is of Native American descent on her father's side, and her middle name Paytah, is a Sioux name meaning 'fire'. From the time she was a child her father taught her much of the culture and values of their people, and she grew of with an intense love of Animals and Nature.Four years after she was born, her sister Micah came along. She was born 6 weeks premature and got very sick. Micah lost her hearing because of her illness.
Roux took it upon herself at a young age to watch out an protect her sister. She became her sister's keeper. You never saw two people as close as the two sisters. You would think that Micah would have become dependant on a sister who insisted on doting on her, but really it was Roux who was dependant on Micah. She needed someone to take care of, something to keep her busy, keep her from living her own life. She stode back into Hogwarts 3 years after she graduated expecting to find her sister struggling, in which case she would bail her out. But no, Micah flourished on her own. And Roux was left to wonder if Micah had ever really needed her, or if she'd just been holding her sister back.
She had always been content to 'hide' (as her sister called it) behind her blood status. As a pureblood, she could go about her business in relative peace, keeping herself and her family out of harm. Her sister Micah, on the other hand was not. She had joined a group known as the White Doves in her sixth year and fought along side them at the battle for Hogwarts. While she was a skilled duelist with quick reflexes, it wasn't enough, and she was killed.

The next two years brought about significant changes in Roux. Her sisters death was a terrible blow for Roux. She blamed herself for not having the guts to fight for what was right, and she blamed the purists for starting the war in the first place. No longer content to sit on the sidelines, she fights, now for her sister.
