Other notes on appearance: Though he has a generally lax disposition in many regards, Corvus does take care of himself. Trimmed nails finely polished, skin kept flawless, hair in a neat mop of curls with a bit of effort. His rosy cheeked pale skin can often give off a more youthful look, but make no mistake Corvus is no child. He is capable when the need arises and firm on many subjects. Don't be afraid to approach, but caution when speaking your mind unless its merited is probably waranted.
Biography: Yes, that Ptolemy...Heir to a long line of ancient philisophical, astrological, and not surprisingly magical heritage, Corvus's bright future is written in the stars. This of course happens to be the problem.
Even before he was born, Corvus has had a future planned out for him. Keeping tradition with the Ptolemy name, each generation is given a map of their lives through the use of powerful divination (mainly astrology). Their path in life is clearly marked, and they are bound by it. For centuries this has been the case, and few have strayed from it...of course until now.
Corvus Andros Ptolemy, the eldest of his generation is not one to be chained up. Since his childhood he has schemed and plotted, toiled and worked at making his own way in life. His parents, seeing this as a simple phase that everyone, even those who are not of high standing goes through, chose to ignore his actions. It seemed for some time that even at the age of 21, they were convinced that one day he would take up his proper place and laugh at all those years he wasted trying to escape his stone-clad destiny. They were wrong. Having long finished his easy school days and becoming an accomplished wizard in many regards, Corvus was ready to do what he had been working so hard for in his past. In one fell swoop, he discovered many secrets and artifacts that his family held dear, so taking them in hand he mounted his most trusted broom and was off from his home. He was free, or so he thought. Leaving home teaches any person (man or woman) things that they had never known about themselves and the world outside. Corvus was quick to find this in his journey North. Though he had left from home to be free, the fear that he had held all of his life was still there. With so many arrows pointing the way, he felt he still couldn't run from what they had planned for him. Even outside the walls of his home, his imprisonment seemed nigh.
Another greater revelation would soon find a hole to nest in him, loneliness. Growing up so sheltered and bound by rules and laws, Corvus had never known companionship other than his family and a few friends of theirs. He hadn't realized in his haste to leave that he would be letting go of all those people who filled his heart making him alone in the end.
Alone and still unsure of his freedom, Corvus was for the first time somewhat defeated. However, he is soon to find that fate will be sending him good tidings from some long forgotten aquaintances and some places even stranger still. Final Note: Corvus has recently been speaking with some staff at Hogwarts, and soon hopes to be teaching there in a few small classes.
